Ingredients

  • 90 g of psyllium husk powder
  • 320 g of eggs (6 medium-sized)
  • 200 g of natural cheese spread
  • 30 g of butter or lard
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • A few pinches of sea or Himalayan salt
  • 50 g of sunflower seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients into a larger bowl. 

  2. Mix all the ingredients together until smooth.  You can mix them with a blender or mixer. 

  3. Set the bun dough aside for 10 minutes so that it becomes thicker. 

  4. Preheat the oven to 170 °C (340 °F). Turn the hot air circulation on. While the oven is heating up, complete the next steps. 

  5. Spread the baking paper on the baking tray. 

  6. With wet hands from the buns of the preferred size and shape. Place the newly-formed buns on the baking tray. 

  7. Bake your keto buns for 25 minutes. 

  8. Decrease the oven temperature to 150 °C (300 °F) and bake for another 10-15 minutes. 

  9. Take your ready keto buns out of the oven and let them cool for about 30 minutes (unless you want to consume them hot). 

  10. Consume or serve your keto buns as regular buns (with butter, lard or as burger buns).
